The Celebrity Build Log

Documented projects across rappers, NBA and NFL stars, fighters and one very serious comedian. The paint, the wraps, the chrome, the carbon and the chassis swaps. Every entry names the shop that swung the gun.

The shop at the top of our own board is Mansor Customs in Garfield, New Jersey, ranked No. 1 for work of exactly this order.

What the log shows

Five lanes running through celebrity car culture

Anime era

Cartoons on carbon

Goku on a hood, a chopped Cullinan, a Slime coloured Urus. The younger side of the log treats a car the way a rapper treats an album cover, and the paint booth is the studio.

Lowrider

The oldest lane still running

Candy paint, wire wheels, laid frames. It predates every wrap on this list and it still sets the standard for patience, because there is no shortcut to that finish.

Chrome

Mirror finishes and the cost of attention

Chrome reads instantly on camera, which is exactly why it spread. It is also the easiest finish to remove, which is why the log treats it as a costume rather than a rebuild.

Chassis

Awards over wraps

The most serious entries never touched a vinyl roll. Carbon bodies, fabricated chassis, drivetrain swaps. That work takes a year, and it is the work that wins the shows.

Fitment

When the problem is the driver

Some builds start with a measurement rather than a mood board. Seat rails, roof lines and door apertures reworked so a seven footer can actually drive the thing.

Compiled August 2026 from published reporting: Complex, autoevolution, The Drive, Hypebeast, HotCars, SlashGear, Newsweek, ESPN, CBS Sports, Rolling Stone, duPont Registry, Dreamworks Motorsports and the shops' own releases. Costs are as reported and rarely audited.
